Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Good day/Buen dia, I am Dr. Nicole Bozas, and I am a Spanish speaking forensic psychologist specializing in initial competency and competency restoration evaluations, criminal responsibility, and risk assessments. My work is deeply informed by both Colorado and federal statutes, standards, and regulations, allowing me to provide evaluations that are precise, comprehensive, and legally sound.

My background includes extensive experience conducting court-ordered forensic evaluations for both state and federal jurisdictions (including but not limited to Title 18 U.S.C. 4241 (b) & (d), 4242, 4243, 4245, and 4246 cases). I have provided assessments addressing competency to proceed, criminal responsibility, and risk for violence or recidivism. I am trained in evidence-based forensic assessment tools and structured professional judgment methods, ensuring that my opinions are empirically supported and clearly articulated for legal contexts.

As a Latina bilingual and bicultural psychologist, I am committed to culturally responsive assessment and care, particularly in evaluations involving linguistically and culturally diverse individuals or dynamics. I also value collaboration with attorneys, judges, and treatment teams to ensure that psychological findings are useful and ethically applied in forensic and correctional settings.

I recently completed my postdoctoral fellowship at the United States Federal Medical Center for Federal Prisoners and am eager to return to Kimel Psychological Services, so I can contribute my forensic experiences to a wonderful organization.
