Hi there! My name is Dr. Lexi Sliva. I am a licensed psychologist at Kimel Psychological Services. I provide neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. My evaluation speciality areas include trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. In addition, I have a passion for forensic (psycho-legal) evaluations, with experience in court-ordered evaluations, psychodiagnostic evaluations, juvenile resentencing, and risk assessment. I use a strengths-based and individualized approach to help individuals understand their unique strengths and areas for growth. I am passionate about establishing diagnostic clarity and advocating for appropriate supports.
I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Wisconsin - River Falls. I then earned my master’s and doctorate degrees in Child, Family, and School Psychology from the University of Denver. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship in clinical/forensic psychology at a private practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. I then received additional specialized training in neuropsychology at another private practice in the Denver area. My early training focused on supporting students and families from the school environment. My clinical training has focused on intervention, evaluation, and assessment across community resource centers and private practice settings.
A little personal background information: I grew up in Minnesota before moving to Colorado to attend graduate school. I have lived here in Colorado for 7 years. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with friends/family, being active outdoors, and playing with my dog (Phoebe).
