My name is Dr. Lexi Sliva. I am a licensed psychologist conducting a variety of different evaluations full-time at Kimel Psychological Services. I also hold the position of Director of the Forensic Department at Kimel Psychological Services. The clinical evaluations I provide include psychological and neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. My clinical evaluation speciality areas include assessing for trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. I also have a passion for forensic evaluations, with experience in mitigation, juvenile transfer/reverse-transfer, psychological/neuropsychological, parenting related, and risk assessment evaluations.
My path to becoming a licensed psychologist included attaining my bachelor’s degree in psychology, followed by my master’s and doctoral degrees in Child, Family, and School Psychology from the University of Denver. My clinical training has focused on intervention, evaluation, and assessment across community resource centers and private practice settings. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship in clinical/forensic psychology at a private practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. I then received additional specialized training in neuropsychological evaluations at another private practice in the Denver area.
A little personal background information: I grew up in Minnesota before moving to Colorado to attend graduate school. I have lived here in Colorado since 2016. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with friends/family, doing yoga, planning travel, and playing with my dog, Phoebe.
