Asha Bhattacharya
Graduate Student - Doctoral Candidate

Welcome! I’m Asha Bhattacharya, a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program at the University of Denver. I’m passionate about supporting neurodiverse teens, especially those on the autism spectrum, as they build confidence, self-awareness, and meaningful connections.
I currently train at Horizon Neuropsychological Services in the pediatric division, where I provide assessments and diagnostic clarification for children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. I also work as a doctoral intern at Emily Kerr Counseling, where I offer individual and group therapy, including gender-affirming care and support for identity development. I also work with Kimel Psychological Services, where I co-lead social skills groups for teens with autism and ADHD, helping participants strengthen communication, emotional regulation, and peer relationship skills. I am also a Research Assistant with the University of Denver’s WeRead program, contributing to research on early literacy and child development.
In my work, I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and affirming space where teens feel understood and empowered to be their authentic selves.
