Hello! My name is Isabel Flicker, and I am currently a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wake Forest University and I have extensive experience working with children and families across a variety of clinical and community settings. In my current role at Kimel Psychological Services, I provide both individual psychotherapy and group therapy for children and adolescents, with a focus on fostering emotional awareness, resilience, and meaningful connections.

My clinical background includes working as a behavioral therapist supporting children with autism spectrum disorder, as well as providing care for children experiencing social anxiety and selective mutism. I have also facilitated skills-based interventions for youth with mood dysregulation, including co-leading a DBT-informed summer program focused on building emotional regulation, coping strategies, and interpersonal effectiveness. I am passionate about helping children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and developmentally responsive environment where young clients feel safe to be themselves and build confidence in their skills.

Outside of my clinical work, I have been trying new outdoor activities like rock climbing and skiing. Additionally, I enjoy sewing and reading.
