Hello! My name is Sydney Gainforth. I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, concentrating in Cognitive Neuroscience. I currently work as an administrative support assistant at Kimel Psychological Services, where I contribute to assessment preparation and scoring, Sibshop development, grant and award applications, and general office coordination. I am preparing to pursue a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Traumatic Brain Injury rehabilitation.

For the past six years, I have volunteered at Quantum Leap Farm, an equine‑assisted therapy organization serving individuals across the lifespan with physical and neurological disabilities, veterans, and children undergoing cancer treatment. During my undergraduate studies, I founded an on‑campus club dedicated to promoting American Sign Language and strengthening connections between the Deaf community and the university.

 

Outside of work, I love to read, hike, and swim. I compete with a gymnastics club and recently added volleyball to my weekly routine. On weekends, you can usually find me exploring new restaurants and cafés around town.
