Hi, my name is Samantha Correa (she/her). I am a third-year in the
Doctorate in Psychology Program at the University of Denver. I received my
master’s degree at the University of Denver in the Summer of 2023 in
Clinical Psychology, and I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and
Spanish from Emory University. I am very excited about the opportunity to
combine my passions for psychology and working with Latinx populations
while conducting assessments and writing reports for individuals
experiencing various difficulties across the lifespan at Kimel Psychological
Services.
Since beginning my doctoral education, I have provided individual
psychotherapy and psychodiagnostics assessments with asylum-seekers
through the Survivors of Torture Program at the Trauma Disaster and
Recovery Clinic. As a second year, I have also worked with adults and
couples to reach their personal and relational goals in the outpatient
psychotherapy setting. I have experience with providing psychological
services in Spanish, as I am proficient in speaking the language.
In my free time, my family and friends are my utmost priorities, and I also
love to find time for running, hiking, thrifting, writing, and playing piano.
